The tennis champion is celebrating another victory! Serena Williams has just won her very first singles title since welcoming her daughter, Olympia three years ago so it must have been a really special one!

The 38 year old mother of one was at the SB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand, earlier today, playing against Jessica Pegula and Serena ended up winning with 6-3, 6-4!

This means that Serena went home with her very first massive win since giving birth to her daughter.

Speaking of Olympia, she was there to witness it as well and she even joined her mom on court to celebrate it shortly after!

About her victory, Serena said that ‘Oh, it feels so good! It has been a long time. I think that you can see the relief on my face.’

She then went on to rave about the other player, saying that: ‘I played an incredible opponent in Jessica and honestly, it was such a great match and I could not have played anyone better in the final.’

The sportswoman also took to her social media to post some pics from the match, one of them showing her posing with the trophy, proudly.

This marks the 23rd single that Serena has won in her entire career.

Furthermore, she decided to donate her $43,000 ASB Classic prize to the whole effort to extinguish the Australia bushfires and help those affected, be it wildlife or people in danger and losing their homes.

Serena also advanced to the doubles finals alongside her partner Caroline Wozniacki.

About her quick return to her career after welcoming her daughter, Serena said last year during an interview for Allure that ‘I’m feeling quite good about my body. I worked really hard at it in the past 8 months to get back from the baby. It has not been easy. I am not 21 anymore. But I did it slow and steady.’
